Last Thursday (November 6, 2025), the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) hosted the 2nd ICAERUS Demonstration Event in Greece, showcasing the latest breakthroughs in agricultural robotics and digital technologies. The event provided a dynamic look at how UAVs, robotic systems, and autonomous platforms are revolutionising farming, from precision spraying to data-driven field management.
George Papadopoulos (AUA) presented the AgRimate project, highlighting how robotic solutions are being applied to the challenging task of pruning olive trees and vineyards, with crucial support from the Agricultural University of Athens in terms of data collection.
The event fostered synergies with other European innovation projects, including SPADE, OpenAgri, AgRibot, AgRimate, COP-PILOT, Climate Farm Demo, Climate Smart Research, Climate Smart Advisors, and Smart Droplets, ensuring a strong collaboration and knowledge exchange across the European Agrotech community.
