Other News & Events

On the 29th of October (2025), the AgRibot Project hosted an internal virtual workshop on AR/XR Safety with the sister projects AGRO-WELL and AgRimate. The goal was to align efforts on embedding robust safety measures into new Augmented and Extended Reality (AR/XR) agricultural applications.

Key takeaways & collaborators
As the organizer, AndrĂ©s Villa-Henriksen (Teknologisk Institut) detailed AgRibot’s progress in advancing AR/XR safety and ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
The Sister Project Insights were presented through Christos Stentoumis from AGRO-WELL (up2metric), who shared expertise on integrating advanced computer vision and AI to enhance on-site safety; and Gerardo Beruvides, from AgRimate (Xymbot Ltd.), as he highlighted the importance of real-time traceability and Digital Product Passports for data protection and supply chain transparency.
Workshop Objectives
The discussion targeted the critical links between technology, safety, and law:
– Practical Safety: Exchanging best practices for risk assessment and developing clear emergency procedures within pilot cases.
– Regulatory Compliance: Addressing the application of EU frameworks, including the GDPR, Data Governance Act, AI Act, and Cyber Resilience Act, to agricultural robotics.
The successful exchange confirmed a shared commitment to developing a secure, compliant future for farm technology. The three projects plan to maintain a close alignment and revisit progress in the coming year. 💪
